Michael Braund has written a book about the pioneers and first two generations of the Braund family of Armidale, New South Wales, Australia. From early beginnings in Devon, in the UK, one Braund family (part of branch 1) moved to Armidale and established a dynasty in that part of New South Wales.
In this book, From Bideford to Armidale and beyond: a tale of the Braund family, individuals of each generation have been described in turn and in chronological order, appropriate cross referencing helping the reader to link the various players in the narrative.
The book is 620 pages long and contains maps, photographs and images (some in colour), as well as detailed stories about the Armidale Braunds. It tells of a family establishing itself in a growing country, over roughly 120 years. Several current family members have provided personal and insightful commentary on their ancestors, adding considerably to this tale. The book is to be published in late 2024 and will cost in the region of $50 Australian (£25). There will also be postage costs.
